The Role: APS5 Program Officer/Case manager

Location: Brisbane, QLD or Canberra, ACT

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months initial contract with possible extension

Pay: $55 - $60 per hour + Super

Hours: Full time with hybrid model


About the role:

As an APS5 Program Officer, you will work under limited direction to provide essential case management for our client. You are responsible for ensuring that participants move through the program accurately and within legislative guidelines, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage participant cases to achieve timely outcomes while strictly following policy and legislative guidelines.
  • Act as a responsive contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding program or operational issues.
  • Exercise sound judgment to make recommendations based on best practice and policy application.
  • Prepare high-quality correspondence, briefs, and reports to support program transparency.
  • Monitor your own workflow, help set work priorities, and identify ways to make the program run smoother.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team as required.

Key capabilities include:

  • Proven background in program implementation or case management.
  • Ability to apply subject matter knowledge to make sound program decisions.
  • A strong sense of ownership over your work and a commitment to team goals.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle competing tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for professional stakeholder interaction.
  • A broad understanding of the Australian health system landscape.
